Spiritual Parenting and the Reality of God the Father: Let's talk.

Do you ever feel like your child or children are not listening at all to you?

It helps me to know that God is a Parent too and He knows how it feels to deal with disobedient children because we are His children.

All throughout the bible, God calls himself our Father and understands how you feel when your child or children disobey you.

So what is a parent to do? Embrace the process of parent and learn from the process. Also, let God speak to you during the process and let the process of raising kids as an ongoing process as well.

Nehemiah 9:26 NIV
[26] "But they were disobedient and rebelled against you; they turned their backs on your law. They killed your prophets, who had warned them in order to turn them back to you; they committed awful blasphemies.

Luke 1:17 NIV
[17] And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous---to make ready a people prepared for the Lord."

Ephesians 5:12 NIV
[12] It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.

Ephesians 5:13-14 NIV
[13] But everything exposed by the light becomes visible---and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. [14] This is why it is said: "Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."

Lord Jesus we come before you knowing that you will answer our prayers because we understand that you are a parent of your children who are us. We love you Daddy and ask that you would forgive us for our own sins against only you and cleanse us. Now Lord God we ask that you would help us as parents to obey you Daddy and turn our hearts towards you alone. Lord we ask that we would with your help take steps to improve our relationship with our children and that because of our learning and obedience to you that they will learn to obey us. In Jesus name, amen,

May God bless you and your families!
