Safety: Do You Build Up Walls At All? Let's talk.

What is on your mind today? The reason I am asking is because have you ever felt hurt or disappointed about something that cause you to crawl "in bed" and wish the world away?
Here's the kicker: Because of those hurts or disappointments, do you feel like you have walls that you have built up towards people or things?
I've been there. I know where you are or may be. I am praying for you friend and if you need insight, check out the link below: Safe by Britt Nicole, is a song I would recommend towards healing.
Another link to the song is found here.

I encourage you to do your homework online about her and even challenge yourself to check her out on iTunes. Trust me, you will not be disappointed at all!

Keep up your spirits.

Willingness to Forgive and the Power of Our Words

Has someone ever hurt or betrayed you? No, seriously! Could be a family member, a close friend that you thought they had your back.
Here's the punch line y'all: when a person does something or says something against you, you are NOT  to make matters worse by venting about how you feel when you are angry. You are to ask Him to help you heal the brokenness in the relationship.

Take the Bible for instance:

"If your brother sins against you, go to him. Tell him what he did wrong. Keep it between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won him back.
16 "But what if he won't listen to you? Then take one or two others with you. Scripture says, 'Every matter must be proved by the words of two or three witnesses.'(Deuteronomy 19:15)
17 But what if he also refuses to listen to the witnesses? Then tell it to the church. And what if he refuses to listen even to the church? Then don't treat him as your brother. Treat him as you would treat an ungodly person or a tax collector.
18 "What I'm about to tell you is true. What you lock on earth will be locked in heaven. What you unlock on earth will be unlocked in heaven.
19 "Again, here is what I tell you. Suppose two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for. My Father in heaven will do it for you.

20 Where two or three people meet together in my name, I am there with them."

When people are like that against you and you feel the need to "vent", my desire for you starting today if this occurs, is to pray to Jesus Christ and ask Him to reveal your part and where you messed up in the relationship. Then ask Him for forgiveness (simple), and have Him cleanse you whole being from the inside out.
Next, go to that person and ask for their forgiveness if you have had any part in the mess of the relationship. Third, say something like this:  "I have sinned against God and against you. Please accept my apology and be wiling to forgive me if you can. If you can't forgive me, my door is ALWAYS open to you for you to come and sit with me at the Table of Forgiveness and Abundance. Thank you for your time and many blessings to you."

My pastor made it clear, it is SIN to gossip or even vent out loud behind the person who wronged you.

Hope this helps and see y'all around!

Many blessings!

How To Let Jesus Take the Driver's Seat of Your Life

Today was a great day for me, but do you ever feel like God is not listening? In the last post, we discussed how God does listen as long as we are humbled before Him.
The problem with some of us today is that we are not fully wiling to surrender ourselves when we come to Him.

I have definitely been where you might be. I know how you feel. I want to encourage you to dig into God's Word and come with a clear conscience both in body, mind and spirit.

This song by Britt Nicole is really a conviction of both heart and soul so that you can fully surrender your life to Him and not be afraid.

Here's the video

Check her out on iTunes and I promise you you will NOT be down or disappointed.

Many blessings!

What is Prayer?

Do you ever feel like your words are disjointed when you are trying to pray?

The Bible teaches that when we pray,  God will hear our prayers if we are humbled before HIs Throne of Grace. I have discovered multiple times where I have felt uncomfortable to pray to God. Recently, though, I found out that I don't have to be afraid to pray to Him about anything! I can approach his Throne of Grace without hesitation or fear because He won't become:

  • red faced,
  • offended, and
  • doesn't have issues and triggers like we people do and will never turn his back against us!
Wow! Soak that in for a minute!

Here is a link to a website I researched online and found it helpful. I hope and pray you will find it the same way too!

Love you all!

Happy days! :)

Pedestals: Who or What Do You Worship Above or Beside Jesus?

Okay. It is time for a reality check everybody! Are you all ready?
How many of you have pedestals that you want to place in front of Jesus Christ? In other words, do you worship people other then your Creator? Hmmm?

Note: I have a deep conviction for you: you are only digging yourself into a deeper sinkhole then you think or know yourself!
In other words, when you experience God's Love through someone else besides Himself, do NOT put that person on a higher position than they should be. Warning in fact: if you do that, you are setting yourself up for spiritual darkness. Even if you know and believe Jesus is your Lord and Savior, the darkness can creep up but not go into you because you are protected by His Light for He is in you!  However, if you continue to do such a detestable act against God, you will fall into spiritual darkness.

I've been there! Yes, me. For years I have put people and items I find interesting above Christ.
Here's a list of who or what I put above or beside Christ:

People:

  • My brother
  • My mother
  • My family (extended and beyond)
  • My friend's son
  • My doctors
  • My teachers in all my schools both Sunday School and beyond
  • My friends
Items:

  • books including the bible
  • iPods and mp3 players
  • my computer
  • pens and pencils
  • watches and clothing
  • my homes of which I lived and do live in now.
  • Starbucks

So, you see? Putting people and items above or beside God is idolatry and is completely contrary to God and his Word.

I strongly encourage you to pray about what you put down as an idol. You see, we don't have to physically bow down to an idol made into a metal or gold calf to make God Jealous. We could be thinking too highly of someone or something and let that thing or person capture our hearts and eventually, our souls. This could lead to spiritual darkness, which leads to a life of sin and result in death.

If you will, would you pray with me:

Father,
I have sinned by calling to mind and heart constantly the people and things of this world. As a result, I have placed them above and beside you in order to make it look like I am worshiping you when in return, I am worshiping them. I confess this sin and many others in your name Lord Jesus and ask that you would forgive me and give me a fresh new heart, a clean  spirit, and a renewed mind that is found only in You alone. Thank you for the forgiveness of my sins and that your blood makes me clean. Now Lord to you be the glory and thy will not mine be done I pray in Jesus name, amen.

If you prayed that prayer, I want to congratulate you on your renewed spiritual journey fresh from the love of God.

God bless!  :)

Sexual Purity Versus Sexual Immorality Which Side Are You On?

Today, I want to bring up the subject of sex outside of marriage. First, it isn't cute, funny or cool. Second, it is not biblical and third, it causes painful memories inside the hearts of those Jesus loves including families and friends of those people.

However, sex inside marriage is godly and true if you want my opinion and truth inside the will of God.

God, I ask that the blood of your Son Jesus would wash this sexual world and population clean of sexual immorality. In Your Son's Name we pray. Amen.

Blessings!

Stormy Weather Calls For Drastic Measures

Have you EVER walked in actual stormy conditions with thunder, lightening, ankle deep floods and not to mention, nothing but a light rain coat and the clothes on your back along with your backpack? No I am serious!!!

Well, just Sunday, that is exactly what happened to me!!!
Let us begin our journey shall we???

It was early Sunday morning at exactly 5:45am when I headed out to walk to my bus stop in order to make it to church on time.
Now for some hard detail!

It was POURING, thundering and lightening all over the place! I mean we are talking scared me walking in the storm? Yes ma'am!!! At one point, I had to clutch my eardrum because the thunder was way too loud for my ears!
Want more? Here I am!

Let's back up for a second.  Before I left the house to get to the bus stop, I wasn't too sure if I wanted to go because of the weather. I refused to back out!

When I walked out of the house, The Lord reassured me that it would be okay and that I would be safe! On one occasion, I had to step foot and walk in ankle deep water where it was flooding.

Well, I made it to the bus stop on time and you want to know what I was thinking at that time? I was thinking about how I would catch hypothermia or a cold because of how cold it was along with being soaking wet! Nothing!!!!

To those who do not yet know The Lord who brought me this far, are you ready for the storm? What is your stormy weather life story?? Please share below!

Jesus bless!

Turning Your Life Up A Notch: How To Be Spiritually Ready For What Lies Ahead

I'm back for more stories and posts!

Lately, my life has been good because I am focused on my King and Savior!
Want to know how? Here's a link: Biblical stuff is on my mind as always!

Today, I learned about the battles we face spiritually each day. Keep in mind though that the world may try to deceive you and that is just how the enemy (or Satan) can get ahold of you and me.

If you haven't already accepted Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, now's your only chance. There may be no tomorrow or we don't know when it will come. God is in control.
I encourage you to pray today!

Have a blessed week and I will see you tomorrow!

Jesus bless!

Caffeine? Do what Jesus tells you.

I was tired the other day and decided to try a new trend: Green Tea instead of coffee in the afternoon.
Well, today, I stand corrected because I wound up drinking hot Green Tea this morning after a conversation with my Savior. Yes, on my knees! Last night, He and I had a conversation about my bad habit of not getting up on time when he or my care provider called me.

Below, is a picture of what I used to drink my second cup of Green Tea in the afternoon.

Hope this inspires you to do what Jesus says and trust in Him and not your own wits.

Daily Devotionals 101

Always be filled with gratitude and you will never miss a single day with Jesus!
This is my enternal saying from now on!

If you read Psalm 34, you will find many things right where you thought they were not.
In other words, you will find peace where there is none and clarity where there can't be any!
Moreover, I pray this encourages you to reach out to those around you!
Where your heart is broken, He can mend it.
Peace to all!  :))
