Recently, a friend of mine challenged me to drink ALMOST a gallon of water a day.

At first, I tried it and, to be completely honest, it was not a pleasant feeling. I mean, I spent a LOT of time in the bathroom.
But, you know what? I felt like the Lord was washing away my impurities that were physically harming my body. And a year ago, a special friend at church said that my skin was glowing!

You know something? The same thing happens when we read the Bible, God's word! We BECOME so full of his word that we start to glow, people actually take notice of Him within us!

So, let's try it! Let's read God's word so much that we even glow just a little bit!

Imagine a young woman who has gone off to collage and has not been home for two years. She brings her "boyfriend" along to the family dinner and they start asking him questions. 

Family member#1: So, since you are dating my daughter, what kind of work do you do? What school are you going to? Do you have enough financial resources to support my girl? 

Boyfriend: Oh, I don't go to school because I dropped out. Oh, your daughter takes care of me and supports me financially I don't need a job. 

(Now the family is figuring out how much they "love" each other. The boyfriend gets upset and tells her that they are leaving.) 

Boyfriend: Grabs his girlfriend by the arm.) Come on, we are leaving! (As he yanks her from her chair, her sleeve pulls from her shoulder and the family can see the bruises on her arm. This has happened before to her without the family knowing. They are in shock and furious. Deep grief fills them all.)

And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Can I tell my story: eight simple words; His story

God's love: John 3:16

Our problem sin: Romans 6:23

God's solution: John 1:14,17-18; Romans 5:8

Our response: Romans 10:9-10

Think and pray about the number of times you talk about your faith besides the number of times you talk about your favorite television show/store! 

Be organic about spending time with those who do NOT know this Jesus. Pray with people and pray for people. 

Hope to God that this pursuades you to know him better, even for the first time!!

Thirsty? Let’s drink from Christ: The Well that never runs dry

At my last checkup with my doctor, he told me I needed to drink coffee.
Now, after my appointment, I learned something interesting: Did you know that too much coffee and less water can dehydrate your body?

Most of us miss the earlier symptoms:

• decrease in our tears (we are unable to cry)
• dry mouth
• exhaustion 

In many different ways our bodies are trying to tell us that we need more water. 

To be realistic, our spiritual bodies can get dehydrated too. Do you have: 

• a decrease in tears over sin
• maybe your feeling exhausted
• is your mouth too dry to pour out praise to Jesus?

Maybe we need to quench our soul's thirst with the Living water that only comes drawn from the well of God's word: Jesus!

Comida diaria para el alma hambrienta: Cómo no privar a su mente y spiritof de lo que necesita

"¡Trabaja duro, come bien!" Este fue un eslogan de una cadena de televisión que solía ver crecer.

Estoy tratando de decir es que trabajar y comer bien son esenciales para vivir un estilo de vida saludable. Para tener un estilo de vida saludable, tenemos que cuidar de nuestros cuerpos.

Además, cuando cuidamos nuestros cuerpos, nuestras almas florecen también.
Necesito trabajar en esto también, así que no te sientas mal.

Ejercitarse y comer sano son también una de las maneras en que nuestras almas se saludan leyendo la Biblia y compartiendo orgánicamente nuestra fe con los demás.

Si lo hicimos comiendo y leyendo nuestra Biblia sin ejercicio y compartiendo nuestra fe naturalmente, volaríamos! Igual que compartir nuestra fe y hacer ejercicio sin comer sano y leer la Biblia; ¡moriríamos!

Así que, aquí están los hechos: trabajar duro y comer bien se hace físicamente, mientras que leer la Biblia y compartir nuestra fe naturalmente se hace tanto física como espiritualmente.
