Christ will NEVER leave us: how to be reassured of this fact

Please forgive me for hiding something from you!

1. Idols I have noticed around me in today's world are, money, people and love the world's version of sex. 

2. To be honest, one way I have been guilty of this sin is by putting my little brother above my own goals and having a desire for him that I believe may be God's. 

3. I will stop believing that my desire is above God about my brother and his spiritual and physical growth. I will choose to believe that it is the Lord's fight not mine. This is how I will ultimately show God how much I love Him more then my little brother. 

Exodus 20:1-17 NIV

[1] And God spoke all these words: [2] “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. [3] “You shall have no other gods before me. [4] “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. [5] You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, [6] but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments. [7] “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name. [8] “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. [9] Six days you shall labor and do all your work, [10] but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. Micah 6:6-8 NIV

[6] With what shall I come before the Lord and bow down before the exalted God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? [7] Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousand rivers of olive oil? Shall I offer my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? [8] He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Matthew 6:19-24 NIV

[19] “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. [20] But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. [21] For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. [22] “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. [23] But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! [24] “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

I have a horrible habit of obsessing in my mind about people instead of letting the Man and Lord Jesus consume me with his jealous love. 

Now, no one else can give me this love for it is pure and unrelenting. He chases me DOWN and if I am not careful, captures my heart and spirit in the pursuit! 

What do I mean? I mean that just because someone is really nice and sweet to you does not mean that you have the right to idolize them in your mind! The Savior and King will become Jealous in no time and like I said, pursue you to the fullest way he knows what is best! 

Here's a lesson: people come and go but Jesus will NEVER leave!

1. Los ídolos que he notado que me rodea en el mundo actual son, dinero, personas y les encanta la versión del mundo del sexo.

2. Para ser honesta, de una manera que he sido culpable de este pecado es poniendo mi pequeño hermano por encima de mis propias metas y tener un deseo por él que creo que puede ser de Dios.

3. Voy a dejar de creer que mi deseo es por encima de Dios sobre mi hermano y su crecimiento espiritual y físico. Voy a elegir a creer que se trata de la lucha del Señor no la mía. Así es como voy a mostrar en última instancia a Dios cuánto lo amo más que a mi hermano pequeño.

Éxodo 20: 1-17 NVI

[1] Y habló Dios todas estas palabras: [2] "Yo soy el Señor tu Dios, que te sacó de Egipto, de casa de servidumbre. [3] "No habrá para ti otros dioses delante de mí. [4] "No se podrán hacer por sí mismo una imagen en forma de cualquier cosa arriba en el cielo ni en la tierra debajo o en las aguas debajo. Miqueas 6: 6-8 NVI

[6] ¿Con qué me presentaré ante Jehová, y adoraré al Dios Altísimo? Me presentaré ante él con holocaustos, con becerros de un año? [7] ¿El Señor esté satisfecho con miles de carneros, o de diez mil arroyos de aceite de oliva? ¿Daré mi primogénito por mi rebelión, el fruto de mis entrañas por el pecado de mi alma? [8] El te ha declarado, oh mortal, lo que es bueno. Y qué pide Jehová de ti? Para hacer justicia, y amar misericordia, y humillarte ante tu Dios.

Mateo 6: 19-24 NVI

[19] "No te acumulen para sí tesoros en la tierra, donde la polilla y el orín corrompen, y donde ladrones minan y hurtan. [20] Más bien, acumulen para sí tesoros en el cielo, donde ni la polilla ni el orín corrompen, y donde ladrones no minan ni hurtan. [21] Porque donde esté tu tesoro, allí estará tu corazón también. [22] "El ojo es la lámpara del cuerpo. Si sus ojos están sanos, todo tu cuerpo estará lleno de luz. [23] Pero si sus ojos no son saludables, todo tu cuerpo estará lleno de oscuridad. Si la luz que en ti es oscuridad, ¡cuán grande es esa oscuridad! [24] "Nadie puede servir a dos señores. Ya sea porque odiará a uno y amará al otro, o se le mucho a uno y despreciará al otro. No se puede servir a Dios y al dinero.

Tengo un horrible hábito de obsesionarse en mi mente acerca de la gente en lugar de dejar que el hombre y el Señor Jesús me consuma con su amor celoso.

Ahora, nadie más me puede dar este amor porque es pura e implacable. Me persigue ABAJO y si no tengo cuidado, captura el corazón y el espíritu en la búsqueda!

¿Que quiero decir? Quiero decir que sólo porque alguien es muy agradable y dulce para que no significa que usted tiene el derecho a idolatrar en su mente! El Salvador y Rey se convertirá en celoso en ningún momento y como he dicho, que perseguir a la forma más completa que sabe qué es lo mejor!

Aquí hay una lección: las personas van y vienen, pero Jesús nunca dejará!
